Job Summary: We are seeking a dynamic and experienced General Manager to lead our soap factory operations. The ideal candidate will be a strategic thinker, a hands-on leader, and possess a deep understanding of soap manufacturing processes. The General Manager will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of the factory’s operations, optimizing production processes, managing a diverse team, and driving the company’s growth and profitability.

Responsibilities:

• Provide strategic leadership and direction to the soap factory, aligning with the company’s goals and objectives.

• Oversee all aspects of soap production, including raw material procurement, formulation, blending, molding, quality control, packaging, and distribution.

• Develop and implement efficient manufacturing processes to optimize production output, minimize waste, and ensure product quality.

• Monitor production schedules and adjust workflows as necessary to meet customer demands and market trends.

• Lead and manage a team of managers, supervisors, production staff, quality control technicians, and other factory personnel.

• Foster a culture of continuous improvement, innovation, safety, and quality throughout the factory.

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including R&D, marketing, sales, and supply chain, to drive product development, launch new products, and improve existing ones.

• Develop and manage the factory budget, monitor expenses, and implement cost-saving initiatives without compromising product quality.

• Ensure compliance with industry regulations, safety standards, and environmental regulations.

• Implement and maintain best practices in hygiene, sanitation, and cleanliness across the factory.

• Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and consumer preferences to identify opportunities for growth and expansion.

• Build and maintain relationships with suppliers, customers, and business partners to ensure a seamless supply chain.

• Provide regular reports to senior management on factory performance, production metrics, and key performance indicators.

• Conduct quarterly performance evaluations of management team.

Qualifications:

• Experience in soap saponification, edible oils and palm fractionation would be useful.

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Chemistry, Business Management, or related field; Master’s degree is a plus.

• Proven track record of at least 8-10 years in a leadership role within a manufacturing environment, preferably in the soap or consumer goods industry.

• Strong knowledge of soap manufacturing processes, quality control procedures, and safety standards.

• Exceptional leadership skills with the ability to motivate, mentor, and develop a diverse team.

• Strategic thinker with the ability to make data-driven decisions and solve complex problems.

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
