President of the United Workers Party (UWP) Isaac Baptiste met with Police Management on Friday, February 1, 2019, to discuss a positive way forward for the UWP and the Police.
Mr. Baptiste provided that concerns were raised under the Public Order Act re the perception of the provisions of the Act for meetings and protests, among several other issues. He further mentioned that clarification was sought to ensure that the Police does not see the UWP as a threat to national security.
