The Stephen Paboy Thomas Foundation Announces the Recipients of its Annual Scholarship in Paix-Bouche

Paix-Bouche, Dominica, July 8, 2021 — The Stephen Paboy Thomas Foundation awarded its first annual scholarships to Johnathan George from the Bense Primary and Ler’Sean Joseph of the Paix Bouche Primary at a closed ceremony held at the Paix Bouche Primary School on Sunday, July 4 th , 2021.

The closed ceremony kicked off with a keynote presentation from Dr. Kyra Paul, president of the foundation, who first thanked the awardees for applying and emphasized why the foundation was created. She encouraged them to embrace the next steps in their educational journey and to always strive for excellence.  Dr. Paul’s presentation was followed by the distribution of the awards.


The scholarship recipients were each awarded a laptop, school supplies and $1000. Parents of the children expressed their gratitude when they received the award with their child.

The Stephen Paboy Thomas Foundation supports students from the Paix-Bouche and Bense Primary schools who are starting their secondary education. The objective is to help mitigate the financial pressures that too often plagues families in supporting their children’s education. The foundation will remain dedicated to supporting the educational advancement of children.
