Portsmouth Mayor Kerry Breedy Prince Graduates with Honors from Monroe University

Portsmouth Mayor Kerry Breedy Prince proudly announces her graduation from Monroe University, where she earned her Bachelor of Business Management with a minor in Marketing, graduating Summa Cum Laude. This notable achievement was further recognized by her induction into the Delta Mu Delta Honor Society, which celebrates excellence in business education.

Prince’s academic journey has been one of perseverance and “firsts.” In 2004, she was part of the inaugural class to graduate with an associate’s degree in business administration from Dominica State College. In 2020, she graduated with an Associate’s in Entrepreneurship from the Academix School of Learning, also as part of the first graduating cohort. Now, in 2024, she graduates once again as part of Monroe University’s inaugural class after it officially achieved university status.

Balancing her roles as a wife, mother, full-time worker, and mayor of Portsmouth, Prince reflects on the challenges of her journey. “At times, it felt like I was walking a tightrope, but perseverance and determination guided me. I saw each obstacle as a steppingstone toward my goals,” she shared.

Prince expressed deep gratitude to her husband, Kenny Prince, for his unwavering support, and to her family and the government of Dominica for their encouragement. She extends a message of motivation to those uncertain about starting their own educational or personal journeys: “Be brave, take that risk, and focus on the accomplishment waiting at the finish line. The journey is worth it.”

With a strong commitment to her educational and professional aspirations, Mayor Prince is determined to inspire others to pursue their dreams, just as she has throughout her own path.
