Leetie Jones, 92, passed away peacefully on May 5, 2023, after a brief hospitalization at Scarborough Health Network (SHN).
Leetie was born on September 1, 1930 in Marigot, Commonwealth of Dominica to Simon and Elmira Carlton. Leetie’s husband Arthur Jones predeceased her in November 2017. She was the cherished mother to Annette Pascal, Sherril, Jefferson, Anthea, Irvin and Belinda Jones; Grandmother to Carlyon, Racquel, Dean, Chantelle, Keshia, Maguire, Joshua, Tirel, Aliyah and Jahneil; Great-Grandma to Marcus, Amecia, Alexus, Layla, Olivia, Kameiro, Lennise, Kendall, Elijah, Kingsley, Cali, Sophie, Kira, Aurora and Tristan. Sister to Masworth Carlton and Avanel Joseph. Auntie to many nieces and nephews. She will be dearly missed by all of her family and friends.
Relatives and friends are invited to visit with the Jones Family at Highland Funeral Home, Scarborough Chapel, 3280 Sheppard Avenue East, (west of Warden Avenue) on Friday, May 19th from 4:00 to 8:00 PM. A Funeral service will be held at Rosewood Church of the Nazarene, 657 Milner Avenue, Scarborough, Ontario on Saturday, May 20 at 10:00 AM. Burial to follow at Resthaven Memorial Gardens, 2700 Kingston Rd., Scarborough, ON.
