Lay Magistrate Michael Laudat voiced his disappointment and disapproval at police witnesses for their failure to attend Court when necessary.
The Magistrate stated that the police witnesses absence from Court precludes matters from being disposed with within a timely manner.
He expressed that “persons are on the radio talking about firearms and ammunitions and matters are at a standstill in the Court”. He warned the prosecution that he will take the necessary action to ensure that police officers who are witnesses in matters come to Court to curtail the delay in the administration of Justice.
