Business professional, Alice Dalrymple has planned to use her complete MBA to effect change in Dominica in the professional realm. Alice graduated with distinction from the University of Suffolk in England with an MBA in Management with focus on Business Consultancy. Having four years to complete the MBA online, Alice was able to complete the Masters Programme in two years with the opportunity of submitting her dissertation for an award in the Gender and Humanity category.

Alice said that she plans to use her MBA to effect change in Dominica in the business realm. ‘I am thankful to God for his grace and my family, colleagues and friends for their support during my studies. I plan to use what I have learnt in this MBA to be of professional service to my country and promote a high standard of work ethics and professionalism on a management level’, said Alice.

She said that her focus on Business Consultancy Management will position her to provide consultancy support in many areas of expertise. ‘The Masters was very comprehensive having covered modules like Organizational Behaviour, Managing Strategic Change, Strategic Marketing, Managing Through Finances, Consultancy Management and Project Management. My focus on Consultancy Management stemmed from work experience with UN donor agencies with the hope of using my expertise to support consultancy management in Dominica, the region and internationally’, Alice noted.

The topic for her dissertation was ‘The integration of gender sensitivity in leadership development in the workplace’. Her research investigated the status of gender sensitivity integration in the workplace and examined how various genders behave at work to determine if there is a link between the variables that influence leadership results and those that predict leaders’ actions.
