We announce the death of Cuthbert Williams of Newtown who resided in Portsmouth.

He died unexpectedly at the age of 76 at Dominica-China Friendship Hospital on 9th June.

An iconic sportsman who represented Dominica in Cricket, Football and Basketball

He leaves to mourn:

Wife: Rosemary Etienne-Williams

Children: Cecil, Michelle, Monique, Heather and Lenella

Grandchildren: Whitney, Mackenzie, Sarina, Sierra, Jazz, Tiago

Siblings: Irving “Tosh” Williams, Jemmie, Mavis, and Annette

Nieces and Nephews: Tamika Hogan, Allison James, Michael Joseph, Kondwani Mills, Egbert, Hubert and Michael James

Cousins: Roy Williams, Fitzroy Williams, Eric James and Royston Williams

Sister in laws: Ruth Lavine, Moira Port, Caryl Phillip-Williams, and Clara Saverin

Brother in laws: Errol Hill, Bill Etienne, Elton Scatliffe, and Clarence Etienne

Close friends: Crispin Greene, Mally Dechamps, Rudolph Thomas, Bernard and Joyce Bazil, Paul Lewis, Charlene and Roy Fingal, Athena Coke, Enoch Edmond, Algernon Lawrence, Ozzie Lewis, Sebastian Lockhart, Newtown Boys, George Carrington, Ian Carrington, Clem and Irene John, Wilmoth Leblanc, Joffre Faustin, Vivian Rene, Donald Peter, Herbert and Bernard Thomas, Fred Abraham, Alick Ferrol employees & customers of Miss Olive Shop as well as friends & relatives too numerous to mention.

The body will be transported from Lyndhurst Funeral Home for viewing at 2 pm at the Mt. Wallis Methodist Church, Portsmouth on Tuesday, July 4th. Funeral Service begins a 3 pm followed by interment the Methodist Cemetery, Portsmouth.
