The keys to four schools refurbished by the Maria Holder Trust were handed over to government during a recent visit by Trust consultant, Jane Armstrong.
The Concord, Roseau, Belles, and Warner Primary Schools were refurbished by the trust. In some cases, new kitchen and new Pre-K classes were built. Armstrong said that the Trust decided to partner with the government before Hurricane Maria.
The Maria Holder Trust was set up in honor of Swiss – Barbadian Maria Holder and has been involved in helping students access early childhood education for a number of years. It has also constructed recovery centers for victims of abuse in Barbados.
