The Word Revival Center in Wesley, under the leadership of Pastor Cameron Robin, officially launched its Youth Evangelism Program on Sunday.
The program will be directed by secondary school teacher Edith Williams. She says that the program will be varied in its attempt to meet the needs of the youth.
The program includes computer and internet access and a mini library to allow the students to complete assignments. An after school program on Mondays,Wednesdays and Fridays from 4:00- 5:30 pm is also a key component. The participants will also he engaged in social activities such as karaoke and movie nights in order to develop the holistic child. An evangelistic approach will be utilized throughout the program to meet the child’s spiritual needs and introduce him to the unconditional love of Christ.
Word Revival with the help of a benefactor assembly in the United States has completed a well equipped playground and basketball court which will help in the social aspect of the program.
The program is expected to commence sometime in February and will initially serve students of Grades 5 and 6 of the Wesley Primary School.
