Updated Death Announcement of 76 year old Arthur Cecil Joseph, also known as Jacques or Jakes of 78 River Street, Roseau

It is with great sadness that we announce the death of 76-year-old Arthur Cecil Joseph, also known as Jacques or Jakes of 78 River Street, Roseau. He was the proprietor and founder of Golden Loaf Bakery, formerly Jacques Bakery. 

He died on Monday 15th July 2024, at the I C U Ward at the Dominica China Friendship Hospital (D C F H). He was the son of the late Loretta Casimir Allard and Dennis Claude Joseph aka D.C Joseph.

He left to mourn:

His Wife: Agnes Joseph. 

Daughters: Beverly, Sabrina, Vernice, Denise, Norma, Cynthia, Cassie, Aisha, Arthurlyn, Karen, Marianne,andSamantha. 

Sons: Peterson (Pato), Jack, Ottis, Danny,Josephus, O’ryan and Atherton. 

Sisters: Jean, Valda, Valley and Shirley in the USA . Hyancinth Marie and Dellenia Marie Rose in France. Melanie Pierre in England. 

Brothers: Lorden Casimir and Lincoln Casimir and their spouses in the USA, Denise Joseph 

Nieces: Jessica Hector, Gabriella Sophia Casimir, Valarie and Vanessa Thomas, Jeanie, Maria, Gillian, Jasmine, Ellen, Jessica , Candy 

Nephews: Stepen, Jerome, Remy, Nicholas, Karl, Damon, Cameron, Micheal, Pemberton, Devin, Hector, Renold Thomas, Dennison Grand children: Mazinho, Shimon, DeJano, Shelisha, Sherenne, Keith, Willie, Curtney, Kayla,  Kerdel, Aurelle, Christine, Jacelis , Jason, Kevin, Raheem, Akira, Sharline, Shakendy, Oliva, Joseh, Andria, Rosalie, Jaime, Normandy , Jeno, Avanna, Kimanna, Regina, Adrianna, Jianna, Akeanna, Givoanni, Payton, Akeanna, Nytah, Nikita, Shirlyn

Brothers in Law: Bernard, Johnson, Paul & Peter Drigo. 

Sisters in Law: Aimie, Linda, Polly ,Fedalis, Fedilia Drigo 

Cousins: Dexter, Archie, Desmond, Gary, Nechelin & Family, Dareen & Spouse, Regina Younis & Family , Tarnia Green & Spouse, Shada , Jamal Joseph & Spouse Adella Casimir, Mc Cauly Roberts, Evangelina Valez all in the USA and Nita & Family in Barbados 

He will also be remembered by his passed and present employees, his loyal customers who have supported him over the years. 

Special thanks to the doctors and nurses of the I C U ward of the D C F H and his personal doctors – Irving Mc Intyre, Adrien Deschausay and Roberson Thomas. Also special thanks to Doctors Michena Brooks , Olanrewaju Andeosun and Arit Fuller Harris in the U.SA. Kings county hospital nurses and doctors for the dedication to his care whilst in the U.S.A. 

Special thanks to Father Nigel Karam and Monseigneur Esutace Thomas for their prayers and continued support. 

Special mention of a devoted friend and worker Carol Jno- Jules .

The body of the late Arthur Cecil Joseph will transported from Lyndhurst Funeral Home at 2:30pm on Tuesday 6th August 2024 at the Roseau Cathedral Chapel. Funeral Mass begins at 3:00p.m.  followed by interment at the Roseau Catholic Cemetery.
