Dominica mourns the loss of an upcoming and promising cricketer, Carlian Wiltshire Jr, affectionately known as CJ, who played for the Castle Bruce Secondary School and the Underminers Cricket Team from Bataca. He was an all-rounder who could be called upon to break up partnerships with his bowling or to rescue his team’s batting.

CJ lost his life in a motor vehicular accident at Sineku over the weekend. There were three other occupants in the vehicle.

Emonews spoke to CJ’s family who expressed their profound sadness and great emptiness felt. CJ was the only child of his father, Carlian Wiltshire of Marigot. His mother is Theresa Mason of Bataca. He was only 19.
