On Monday 29th March, The Staff and Management of Tranquility Beach were thrilled to witness the first concrete pour of the Basketball Court along with Honourable Denise Charles, Parliamentary Representative for Roseau South and residents of the community. “This initiative has been a long awaited one following Hurricane Maria, given the devastation, funds had to be redirected to immediate relief and security efforts”.
The commencement of the multi purpose court was further delayed due to COVID-19. “I discussed the project with Mr. Ian Edwards who immediately offered assistance, as a result of the partnership with Tranquility Beach and CCL, we are pleased to see this vision become a reality”, stated Honourable Denise Charles.
This donation is an extension of the dedication of Tranquility Beach (Dominica) to creating a safe and functional facility for youth living in Pointe Michel. “Investing in our youth through this initiative promotes teamwork, creates friendships and instills an active and healthy lifestyle” said Mr. Ian Edwards, CEO/Owner Tranquility Beach.
