The Bishop of Roseau Calls for Fairness and Peace to Reign in Dominica

Bishop of Roseau, His Lordship Gabriel Malzaire, has added his voice to the ongoing debate over Electoral Reform in Dominica.

The leader of the Roseau Diocese called for there to be justice, peace and a sense of fairness in the efforts to represent the people of Dominica. During his New Year’s homily, Bishop Malzaire stated that he had observed the concerns of Dominican citizens, especially during the past few days, crying out for electoral reform. “It’s a long-standing issue which is impacting and affecting our society,” Bishop Malzaire remarked.

In what some described as a departure from the norm, the Bishop expressed, “It is imperative therefore, that those responsible move with some alacrity to see that all is put in place for the appearance of free and fair general elections which is due this year.”
