Almost forty events have been packed into a little over two months as Dominica’s Carnival ‘The Real Mas’ essentially kicks off with the staging of the Calypso Eliminations this weekend Saturday, December 5th.

Though the National Parade which climaxes with an Official Opening is slated for January 19 at the Carnival City from 3:00 pm, there are several events which precede that date. The official Carnival also suggests a return of the Showdown Mas Cap ‘Calypso Tent’ on January 18, while Dominica’s longest-serving tent, ‘Stardom,’ will launch-off on January 19, 2019.
