Fifteen students of the Mahaut Primary School did a workshop on Disaster Preparedness. The students engaged in training sessions in first aid, fire, earthquake, and tsunami safety. At the end of the workshops, students were supposed to identify a community project in their village.
Interestingly, they came up with a billboard which depicts a community identification map which highlights the shelters, important buildings as well as the national emergency numbers in the village. The teacher responsible for the project was Ms. Dangleben. They called themselves, ‘The Handy Helpers.”
