Students of the Massacre/ Canefield Primary School took to the streets on Monday in celebration of World Water Day.

The students had placards which educated persons on the importance of water and encouraged the protection of our water sources. They also chanted various slogans and phrases to passersby.

Co founder of WAVE, Father Franklin Cuffy said, “As cofounder of WAVE, I think this year’s World Water Day was one where we had the greatest participation across the Island. I am very impressed by the efforts of the St.Luke’s Primary and the Massacre/Canefield Primary School”.

Father Cuffy said that he was touched when he heard the students say, “Do not destroy our future”.

The Grand Fond Primary and Rosalie Primary also held activities to mark World Water Day.
