SOCA FIRST FAMILY TO HIT WCMF STAGE

Soca first family, the husband and wife team of Ian Antonio Alvarez better known as Bunji Garlin and Fay-Ann Lyons-Alvarez will hit the festival stage at the 21st Edition of Dominica’s World Creole Music Festival, when they perform on Night Two of the festival, scheduled for October 25 to 27, 2019, at the Windsor Park Sports Stadium in Roseau, Dominica.

The Bunji and Fay-Ann team will be making their second appearance at the festival, combining to bring patrons their star power and international appeal. They will appear on Saturday 26th October, sharing the stage with acts such as the Cadence All-Stars featuring Linford John, Ophelia and Gordon Henderson; the Zouk All-Stars with Mel, Princess Lover, Eric Virgal and Oswald, Dominican Kompas band, Extasy, Dominican Bouyon sensations Triple Kay International and the Reggae legend, Buju Banton.

The multiple award-winning duo who between them both have brought us such a wide variety of hit music and an extensive discography, are among the most successful Soca artistes in the world. Bunji is best known for his award-winning song, “Differentology” as well as his masterful performance on this year’s monster Road March winning song, “Famalay”, with fellow Soca artistes, Machel Montano and Skinny Fabulous and Dominica producer, Krishna “Dada” Lawrence.  Fay-Ann, the daughter of the mighty Super Blue, is a three-time Road March winner and multi-times Soca Monarch champion. Apart from her musical prowess, she brings style, class and charisma to the stage.

Festival fans can expect Bunji and Fay-Ann to deliver a compelling and riveting set as they take patrons on a journey of their formidable body of work. The former Soca Monarchs and Road March Champions, global superstars and Soca music ambassadors are coming back to the WCMF to thrill and excite their legions of fans and keep festival goers moving and grooving for the duration of their performance.
