PWA Dissatisfied with Salary Negotiations

The Executive of the Police Welfare Association (PWA) says that they are not satisfied with Government’s response in their negotiations. For some time now, the association has been in talks with Government on issues related to living and working conditions and salary negotiations.

“Members were extremely disappointed in the proposal,” he said. “Government should have sent a proposal that is painting a better picture.” He says that the PWA will draft a letter to Government asking for another proposal.

Further, he commended efforts to improve working conditions at some police stations and to deal with the ‘bug infestation’ at the Traffic Department. Drigo says Government has until July 26 to present an updated proposal.
