The Dominica Football Association (DFA) held its annual prize giving award ceremony on Saturday at the Prevo Cinemall.
Teams and individual athletes were awarded for their outstanding work in the 2018- 2019 football season.A number of youngsters from Portsmouth who play for LA Enterprise Bombers Football Club received awards in various categories.
National U15 player Davon George was named Most Outstanding Striker and Golden Boot for top scoring with 24 goals allowing Bombers to emerge champion of that league.In the U20 league Tariq Joseph was named Most Outstanding Striker while Lemar Irish was named Golden Boot with 9 goals.
Brothers Jerome and Yannick Burkard received the awards for Most Outstanding Goal Keeper and Most Outstanding Midfielder respectively.
Tariq Joseph was also named Male Rookie of the year.In the other leagues veteran players Malcolm Joseph and Jamie Parillon were named as Most Outstanding Defender and Most Outstanding Striker respectively.
