The staff and student of the Achievement Learning Centre (ALC) are a bit less concerned over the present situation of their school.
Prime Minister of Dominica, Hon. Roosevelt Skerrit, over the weekend, promised that the government will provide assistance to the centre.
Director of the ALC Beverly Leblanc, announced that the centre will no longer have a home as of May 31, since their lease was terminated and they have an outstanding balance to pay. Since then, persons have made contributions towards the school through a GoFundMe me campaign.
The ACL caters primarily to students with disabilities and boasts many success stories.
The Prime Minister’s announcement come on the heels of a UNESCO report on exclusion of students to Education throughout the Caribbean region.
