The Parliament of Dominica is expected to be in session today; the first time since the December 6 General Elections.
According to section 36(1) of the Constitution of Dominica, the first order of business will be to elect a new speaker of the House of Assembly. The members will then proceed to take the oath of allegiance according to section 44(1).
This is the first session of the 10th Parliament of Dominica. Proceedings will begin at ten o clock and will be broadcast on various media.
