The National Bank of Dominica(NBD) has reached out in a tangible way to its scholarship recipients and has gifted them with laptop computers .
Mother of Naima Othon of Campbell said that she is extremely grateful to the bank for this thoughtful gesture. She said that her daughter previously used a cell phone to do her school work so the laptop would greatly assist her in searching the internet better and get more information for her assignments.
Meanwhile Jewel Seaman who accepted the laptop on behalf of her brother Jaden Seaman said that her brother is now able to do his assignments at home and not have to go about seeking help or spend money at an internet café. She too expressed her thanks to the NBD on behalf of her brother.
The donation was made during the observance of NBD’s 43rd anniversary.
