The Business and Professional Women (BPW) under the leadership of Rhoda St.John and her team held a meet and greet yesterday to apprise the general public of some of their exciting events for 2020.
Among the events scheduled for 2020 is the first ever Miss Classy Sassy Business Pageant.
St.John said, “Yes, we have the queen show, we have the teenage pageant, we have the princess show. But what focuses on the woman, on the business world, how do you tell the young people apart from bringing them to a symposium or a training how to dress. A lot of persons learn from seeing and visualizing. So we are looking to do the Sassy Classy Business Pageant where it focuses on the business place. What does it take to make a businessperson, what are the functions of a business individual”.
St.John said that the BPW will approach businesses in order to get contestants to represent the business on a professional level.
There will be no Swimwear round because according to st.John, “…it’s not about the body, it is about the mind and about what you portray, your character, your image.”
