Position: Construction Manager
Experience and Qualifications:
BSc minimum in Civil Engineering
Minimum 5 Years Experience in Construction Management
RESPONSIBILITIES & DUTIES
The main responsibilities and duties of the Construction Manager are,
- Overseeing and coordinating all construction activities on site in the following disciplines, Civil work, Building work, Mechanical work, Electrical work, and Air conditioning work, according to the drawings, specification, scope of work and the schedules.
- Coordinating Subcontractors, performing quality control, safety checks and providing daily directions on the site.
- Perform organizational and management duties to effectively lead various construction teams and ensure they have all the resources to carry out their work.
- Create cost estimate for labor, material, equipment, suppliers, and other project cost.
- Coordinate material and equipment delivery to site with Vendors and Suppliers.
- Hire additional Subcontractors as required and assign work accordingly.
- Make changes in the construction operations as necessary to best meet construction deadlines.
- Implement management techniques that are cost-efficient and efficient
- Maintain a site diary or a daily log for the site’s operations and conduct weekly site meeting.
- Creating and Maintaining Project Schedules
Apart from the above responsibilities and duties mentioned above the Construction Manager must demonstrate the following Essential Traits, to execute the project successfully.
- The ability to successfully coordinate schedules, workforce, equipment, and resources.
- A hands-on Manager who is comfortable directing and evaluating on-site personnel by staying engaged in all aspects of the project.
- Familiarity with project management skills, including time, scope, and budget management.
- To be able to maintain a positive relationship with the main contractor and effectively communicate the main contractor’s goals and priorities to all on-site team members.
- Maintain high quality standards and a safe working environment.
- Capable of overseeing construction issues for which he or she is not specifically certified.
- The ability to manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously under time constrains.
- Has strong written and oral communication skills.
- Familiar with Primevera and or Microsoft Projects
