Compete Caribbean teamed up with the Dominica Association of Industry and Commerce to sponsor a customs brokers and tariff training programme.
The graduation ceremony which took place at the campus of the University of the West Indies (UWI) saw over twenty persons receiving a certificate of participation.
Comptroller of customs, Roderick Dejean, said that he hopes to see a “positive difference in compliance levels which will no doubt contribute to the improvement of overall trade performance”. He reminded the participants that in light of the free movement of skilled persons within the region, the certificate is of importance to their resume when looking for a job overseas.
