The Dominica Hotel and Tourism Association (DHTA) has revealed the findings from a survey conducted to assess the impact of COVID-19 on their members. So far, the industry has been hit a deadly blow.
According to president of the DHTA, Mrs. Marvlyn Alexander James, 76% of members have experienced cancellations with a total value of about 1 million dollars.
She said further that a further decline is expected because a number of major source markets have closed their borders.
Mrs. James made these comments during a special program organized by the Dominica Business Forum.
