Glenroy Toussaint, Local Government Commissioner and Chairman of the Emergency Shelter Subcommittee has reiterated calls for families to be well prepared in light of the Hurricane Season.
He says, “If every family in Dominica, every household in Dominica implement and execute their plan then it will minimize the impact of a Tropical Storm, a Hurricane or a system in the 2020 Hurricane Atlantic Season”.
Toussaint said that while we are unable to stop a Hurricane from coming to our shores, we may be able to mitigate the effects by preparing effectively.
He says that we must prepare with the rules and regulations of COVID-19 in mind. Therefore, we must also include masks, hand sanitizers and cleaning supplies in our Emergency Kits.
