CYBER SECURITY OFFICER  – HEAD OFFICE, NCCU LTD

The National Co-operative Credit Union (NCCU) Ltd invites applications  from suitably qualified applicants for the position of Cyber Security Officer.

SUMMARY OF RESPONSIBILITIES

The Cyber Security Officer will:

1. Safeguard information system assets by identifying and solving potential and actual security problems.
2. Research and evaluate emerging cyber security threats and ways to efficiently and effectively manage them.
3. Create and maintain Information Technology security policies.
4. Keep up to date with the latest security and technology developments.
5. Monitor for attacks, intrusions and unusual, unauthorised or illegal activity.
6. Test and evaluate security products.
7. Identify potential system weaknesses and implement mitigating measures.
8. Upgrade information systems by implementing and maintaining security controls.
9. Investigate security alerts and provide incident response.
10. Assist with the creation, maintenance and delivery of cyber security awareness training.

(A) QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE REQUIRED

1. Bachelor of Science (B Sc) degree in Computer Science; Information Systems; or equivalent education
2. A minimum of four (4) years of prior relevant experience.
3. Advanced security-specific certifications such as SANS GIAC/GCIA/GCIH, CISSP or CASP+ and/or SIEM-specific training and certification.
4. Advanced understanding of TCP/IP, common networking ports and protocols, traffic flow, system administration, OSI model, defense-in-depth and common security elements.
5. Hands-on experience analyzing high volumes of logs, network data (e.g. Netflow, FPC), and other attack artifacts in support of incident investigations.
6. Experience with vulnerability scanning solutions

4. Experience in planning, organizing and coordinating programmes
