CHIEF FINANCIAL OFFICER
The National Co-operative Credit Union (NCCU) Ltd requires an individual to head the Finance Department – specifically to be responsible for the overall performance and productivity of the Department.
The Chief Financial Officer [CFO] will advise the Chief Executive Officer on all matters relating to the Finances and Liquidity position of the NCCU Ltd.
This individual should possess a sound knowledge of business and an understanding of the financial industry, with appropriate training and experience in financial management and exceptional member service capabilities. It is necessary that the CFO maintains a team spirit, driven by the cooperative principles and possesses a capacity to work well with members, community organizations, employees, and the Board of Directors. The successful candidate will demonstrate strong ethics, values, integrity and trustworthiness, be approachable, capable of motivating others and delegating responsibilities. The candidate should also be able to demonstrate strategic thinking, planning and the ability to make decisions and take action when needed.
(A) QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE:
- An MBA or other advanced degree, Finance, Economics, or a related field, is preferred.
- Professional Certification in Accounting or Finance, such as Certified Public Accountant (CPA); Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA); Certified Financial Analyst (CFA) or equivalent would be an advantage.
- A minimum of ten (10) years of experience in a Senior Management position at a Financial Institution.
- Knowledge of and experience in the use of microcomputers and software applications, particularly of financial and spreadsheet packages
- Knowledge and/or experience in the Credit Union Movement would be a distinct advantage.
- Knowledge of Cooperative principles and applicable legislation, would be a distinct advantage

- Ability to generate, interpret and analyse financial statements
- Excellent communication skills
- Proficiency in the preparation of analytical papers
- Demonstrate the ability to work well with others
