A mural was done in Mero one year after the death of community activist, Avandale Baptist.
Jr.Baptist is remembered as the one pushing for many infrastructural projects such as road construction and repair. As a member of the Mero Enhancement Committee, he was instrumental in organizing and executing numerous community tourism initiatives.
A memorial mass and candle lighting ceremony will be held in remembrance of Avandale Baptist Jr. The ceremony dubbed: Remembering Junior Bap: the great community icon will feature brief remarks from family and friends as well as an original song composition dedicated to his memory.
