Permanent secretary in the Ministry of Environment, Careen Prevost, says that the ministry has created a database of vacant plots in the capital city and is seeking the permission of landowners to utilize these lots as green spaces.

She says that the ministry along with the city council has been regularly up keeping many of these vacant lots. This is in keeping with the ministry’s mandate to plant 1000 trees.
