Two male citizens of Dominica were arrested by the Commonwealth of Dominica Police Force (CDPF) after entering the country illegally by boat in Jimmit.

According to the  Police Public Relations Officer (PRO), Inspector Simon Edwards, the incident occurred about 11:20 am on Monday 11 May 2020.

The men were charged, bailed and transported to the Portsmouth quarantine facility where they will remain for 14 days

Reports reaching Emonews also suggest that one individual was also caught  entering illegally on the north of Dominica on Saturday 9 May 2020 and was also placed at the quarantine facility.
