Medals and Cut Eye is a weekly highlight that seeks to praise people or events by giving them their ‘medals’ for their positive contribution to our Dominican society; while ‘Cut eye’ will be dished out to those whose actions are undesirable.
Medals are awarded to:
…the parents who worked tirelessly in ensuring that their children were well prepared for the reopening of school.
…the teachers who have transitioned seamlessly from online classroom to the Blended Learning Approach.
… the persons who find items and return it not expecting anything in return.
… local artistes (Asher Thomas, Irv Antoine, Nichole Christian) who have released new music
… all the women who were honored on International Women’s Day
… those elected to serve on the Salisbury Village Council
Cut Eye given to:
… those who use violence as a way of solving problems
… drivers who do not follow traffic rules
… the people who litter the streets
… car thieves
