His Excellency the Ambassador of India Mr Arun Kumar Sahu has presented his Credentials to His Excellency the President Mr Charles Angelo Savarin DAH.
Mr. Savarin welcomed Mr. Sahu to Dominica and noted that both countries have shared diplomatic relations since 1981 and that both countries also share a love for cricket and a common history dating back to the mid 1800′ s, after the abolition of slavery when persons of Indian origin came to the Caribbean. The president also noted many of the ways the Government of India has continued to assist Dominica including the Indian Technical Economic Cooperation (ITEC) Training programme which benefits Dominicans in the areas of education, training and health.
The ceremony took place on February 19, 2020.
