A total of 846 students, 391 females and 455 males wrote the examinations. This year the Government of Dominica has awarded 64 scholarships of $1000 each and 114 bursaries of $700 each.
Anyella Birmingham, who earned the number one position thanked God, her family and fellow classmates who all played a part in her success.
She said further, “I feel joyful that all my hard work payed off. Some children don’t like to read but I find joy in reading. Reading helped me in English and Comprehension which are the top subjects”.
This year the examinations were condensed into three papers instead of the usual four because of the COVID-19 pandemic.
Congratulations to all.
