Government has revealed that the first 68 homes in the Georgetown, Portsmouth, housing project will be completed by next month.
Parliamentary Representative for the Portsmouth Constituency, Hon. Ian Douglas said that the names have been selected and submitted to the Prime Minister.
Of the first 68 houses, there are about 44 three bedroom apartments and about 23 two bedroom apartments. Douglas said that there are many young persons who have left high school and college, or coming back from studying and others who are just starting their families; these persons along with many elderly who were never able to construct their own homes will be the demographic targeted to benefit from these houses.
Douglas made the comments during a cabinet tour to Portsmouth on Wednesday.
