GICSRD-CCI Forum: Should we COP Out?

The University of the West Indies (The UWI) Global Institute for Climate-Smart and Resilient Development (GICSRD) in collaboration with the Canada-Caribbean Institute will host a Virtual Discussion entitled Should we COP out? COP 27/COP 28 Canada and Caribbean Perspectives: Addressing Gaps and Collaborating to Build Resilient Communities, on Wednesday, November 22, 2023.

This forum will critically examine the effectiveness of the Conference of the Parties (COP), a crucial international platform for climate action, which will convene for its 28th session in November 2023. The urgency of this discussion stems from the growing impact of climate change, evident in events like wildfires in Canada and extreme weather in the Caribbean.
