Ten students from the five primary schools in the Kalinago Territory participated in the first ever Kalinago Territory Grade 6 interschool Competition on Wednesday 8th of May from 10 a.m to 12 p.m.

The children were quizzed on the 4 core subjects and a special section called: Kalinago History. The Atkinson Primary School’s Leanna Fountain and Anel Laville emerged winners and Concord Primary school’s Maceo Philip and Latisha Defoe captured 2nd place.

Atkinson Primary school received $1000 on behalf of the school and the 2 representing students received $600 each. The students of second place received $300 each. The objective of the competition was to engage students in preparation for the National Grade 6 competition.
