Emonews has been reliably informed of a house fire which occurred in Berekua, Grandbay, on Thursday 8 October.

An elderly man of 75 years was in the house at the time and he sustained burns on his leg. The house was completely destroyed.

One family member indicate that it appears that the fire may have started as a result of a bed sheet coming into contact with a coil.
