The East Caribbean Group of Companies (ECGC) proudly participated as a Gold Sponsor at the annual National Agricultural and Fisheries Recognition Ceremony held in collaboration with the Ministry of Agriculture, Fisheries, Blue and Green Economy. This prestigious event celebrated the dedication and hard work of Dominica’s farmers and fisherfolk.

ECGC had the honor of presenting the award for Livestock Farmer of the Year to Mrs. Singoalla Blomquist-Williams, recognizing her outstanding contributions to the livestock sector on island. The prize included $1,500 in cash and a feed voucher valued at $1,500, totaling an award value of EC$3,000.

Mr. Odion Hillocks, Commercial and Innovations at ECGC, expressed the company’s commitment to supporting the agricultural community in Dominica. “We are honored to participate in this award ceremony recognizing the invaluable contributions of Dominica’s agricultural providers,” said Mr. Hillocks. “Their dedication forms the foundation of this nation’s prosperity.  We are particularly delighted to be here in person, demonstrating our commitment to the people of Dominica. This is a significant market for ECGC, and we want to emphasize that our involvement extends beyond commerce. Investing in the development of the Dominican people is a key priority for us.”
