At a press meeting on Monday, General Secretary of the Dominica Public Service Union (DPSU), Thomas Letang, revealed that Government did not agree to a salary increase for public officers.
Instead, the Government has proposed to review allowances that are being paid to Public Officers, and where possible merge the allowances with salaries. He believes that the Government is employing delay tactics in not commencing negotiation.
Letang says that the DPSU has agreed on a course of action to be embarked but which will not be revealed now due to circumstances.
