As St. Lucia commemorates their 40th anniversary of Independence, a contingent of about 100 officers and cadets from the Dominica Cadet Corp, have been invited to participate in the celebrations.
One platoon and the Cadet band will participate in the Independence Day Parade on February 21. Other cadets and officers are expected to depart today, February 19, while an advanced party will leave for St. Lucia on Sunday, February 24. This visit of the Cadet Corp to St. Lucia is expected to facilitate the exchange of culture; strengthen cadetting and to help build civic-mindedness among the cadets from both islands.
