Death Announcement of PAHO Director Emeritus Dr. Carissa Faustina Etienne of Massacre who resided in the United States of America (Maryland).

It is with great sadness that we announce the death of PAHO Director Emeritus Dr. Carissa Faustina Etienne.

Dr. Etienne was from the village of Massacre and resided in the United States of America (Maryland). She served as Director of PAHO from February 2013 to January 2023. She passed away on December 1st, 2023, at the Adventist HealthCare Shady Grove Medical Center in Rockville, Maryland.

She leaves to mourn her:

Husband: Joseph Gregoire.

Children:  Kimani, Kwame & Kanika Gregoire.

Mother:  Bertilia Birmingham.

Grandchildren: Tahjanea, Grace, and Lilly-Ann Gregoire.

Sisters: Theresa & Judy Etienne; Althea Etienne-Labad; Austina Etienne

Brothers: Benoit, Austin & Anselm Etienne.

The body of the late Dr. Carissa Faustina Etienne will be transported from Lyndhurst Funeral Home for viewing at 1:00pm at the Lady of Fatima Catholic Church in Newtown on Wednesday January 10th, 2024. The Mass for Christian Burial will be celebrated at 2:00pm.
