It is with profound sadness that the family announces the passing of Mrs Agatha Lawrence better known
as Ma Joe Joe or Gatha aged 94 of Riviere Cyrique.
She departed this life on August 15, 2022 at the Dominica- China Friendship Hospital (DCFH).
She is lovingly remembered by her:
Children: Monica, Myrtle, Emelda and Jules
Grandchildren: Sandra, Wendy, Lawson, Shun and Aminah
Great Grandchildren: Fantashia, D’shawn, Adaeze, Anais and Ainanji
Sisters: Iris, Magdalene, Olivia and Ruthine
Brothers: Augustine, Masley, and Mc’ Neil
Adopted sisters: Magdelene Cuffy and Ann Allyne
Sisters in law: Antoinette, Cynthia and Lucille
Brother in law: Kenneth
Son in law: Staphan
Granddaughter in law: Verrelyne
God children: Cornelius, Sylvester and Phillip
34 Nieces and nephews: Including Carol, Glenda, Mary, Sandra, Lucia, Urander, Charles, Martin,
Daniel, Norman, Augustus, Asquith, Johnrose, Julian, Daniel, Jonan, Alvin and Clift and their families.
Adopted nieces and nephews: Cresencia, Beran, Jenner, Collin, Evangeline and their families.
Numerous other relatives: Including the Lawrences of Riviere Cyrique, the Edward and Williams
families of Laplaine and the Ulysesses of Delices.
Close friends and well wishers: Phyllis, Elizabeth, Eileen, Nathalie, Fernanda, Patricia, Camillia,
Seraphine and their families, Ignatius, Honorable Gretta Roberts, Nurse Rodney, the La Plaine Health
Team, Staff of the Dawbiney Ward of the DCFH and the entire communities of Riviere Cyrique and
Morne Jaune.
Viewing of the body of Agatha Lawrence will be at 2:30 pm on Saturday, August 27, 2022 at the Morne
Jaune Catholic Chapel.
The Celebration of Life commences at 3:00pm followed by interment at the Laplaine Catholic Cemetary.
