It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved Joseph Hugh Destouche,of Petite Savanne who resided in Wesley. He transitioned on June 11, 2023 at the age of 92. A peaceful, humble and devoted family man, he will be missed by all who knew and loved him.

7 Sons: Hansy, Debby, and Greg in Dominica, Marshow in Guadeloupe, Japheth in Tortola, Darryl and Swicey in New Jersey.
One daughter: Lilian Destouche in Guadeloupe
2 Stepchildren Pinda Mills in Dominica and Ernie Claxton in Tortola
13 Grandchildren: Selena, Fabio, Cliff, Danny, Darril, Jael, Anisha, Ishar, Joshaya, Kialisha, Jahvon, Giselle and Abby.
12 great grandchildren
Daughter-in-law: Michelle Destouche
Brothers in law: Caleb, Jackson and Kenneth Telemaque and their families
Sister in Law: Clavie Telemaque
Nieces and nephews include: Christin, Barry, Georges, Bernadine, Tim, and Richard Baron; Ronald, Abay, Anelta, Estelle, Kevin and Arga Destouche, Josian Stephen, and others too numerous to mention.
Close family and friends include: Sanderson Prince and family, Catherine Dodds and family, Edmund Laurent, McClair, Rosalyn, Lucy, Ida, Joy, Izine, Watts, Bernie, Tiffanie, Mufflyn, Bill and Donna, Evadnie and family. The Baron and Destouche Family of Petit Savanne, Grand Bay and Fond St. Jean, the Catholic community of LaSoie parish and the community of Wesley.
The body of the late Joseph Hugh Destouche can be viewed from 2 pm on Friday July 7, 2023, followed by the funeral at 3 pm at the Wesley Roman Catholic Church. Interment at the Wesley Catholic cemetery.
