We announce the death of 91 year old Catherine Lavinier better known as Polly, Abish and Ma Yellow of Petite Savanne, residing at Bellevue Chopin. She died on March 10, 2022 at her residence.

She is survived by:

6 daughters –  Mary Richards and Mona Arbau in Guadeloupe, Esther Rodney in England, Anna Lavinier, Verna Lavinier and Nolmer Gregoire in Dominica.

3 Sons – Justin, Joseph and Julien in Dominica.

35 grand children – Liz Moise, Lisa Lavinier, Velda Moses, Danna and Ahmed Laurent, Mervin, Rhea and Rhio Rodney,  Delia, Yohan and Sarwan Gregoire, Vern, Chris, Lenny and Conel Esprit, Desiree, Shermaine, Lindy, Kristine, Dylan, Tahj, Vernicia, Petra and Kinta Lavinier, Jimmy, Jeff, Jessica, Axel, Sand Steffie Richards, Guylene, Antoine, Marc, Fabrice and Bryan Arbau, Talita Davidson,

12 Brothers including Louis, Peter, George, Bernard and Patrick Darroux, Jarvis and Timothy Moses.

12 nieces including – Hefelia Esprit and Joanna Moses.

14 nephews including Maymon and Timothy Esprit, Emmanuel Moses and Jones Darroux.

2 Sons-in-Law – Peter Gregoire and Irvyn Rodney

2 Daughters-in-Law – Eliza and Glenda Lavinier

5 Sisters-in-Law including Flora Moses

The funeral of the late Catherine Lavinier will be held on Saturday March 19, 2022 at the Petite Savanne Catholic Church. Viewing will be at 9:30am followed by the funeral service at 10am. Internment will follow at Petite Savanne on the deceased private property.
