We announce the death of Reverend Dr. William Wilberforce Watty of Grange, 89, of Portsmouth, Dominica. He died on the 17th of September 2023, at the Dominica China Friendship Hospital.
He leaves to mourn his wife, Cisne; his daughters, Nathalie and Lenore; son-in-law, Willem; siblings Phyllis Pascal and family, Victora Watty, and Franklyn Watty and family; the families of the siblings that predeceased him – Cecil, Hilda, Camie, Erickson, Mabel, Edward, Daphne, Arthur, and Helena. Close relatives and friends, including the families of Eudora Shaw (deceased), the Richards of St. Kitts, Christine White, Roselyn Colaire and Rebecca Lundy, Lancaster and James Dyer, Hyacinth Dehere, and the Connor, Wallace, and Thomas families. The Caribbean Methodist Church Community shares this sorrow.
The body of the late Rev. Dr. Watty will be transported from Lyndhurst Funeral Home for viewing at 9:00 a.m. at the Mount Wallis Methodist Church, Zicack, Portsmouth on Friday 20th October 2023. The funeral service begins at 10:00 a.m., followed by interment in the Mount Wallis Churchyard.
