We announce the death of Paul Newton, of Balizier LaPlaine. He died on 12th July, at age 84 at his residence, surrounded by family.
He is survived by his beloved wife Deneige Newton;
His children: Marvelyn, Julian, Daniel (Onx), John Rose, Nathalie Lestrade, Melvin (Zèyo), Jean Prosper, Darine, Andy, Delbert, Nyx, Dexter, Norris, Beryl, and Rhea;
26 grandchildren; 10 great grand children; 2 great great grandchildren;
His brothers: Sheriff and Papayeen Newton;
Sisters: Regina Walsh, Mother Dolly Monelle, and Pauline Julien;
Sisters in law: Rosa Philbert, Eve and Allison Newton;
Brother in law: Debeson Monelle;
His Aunt Bessie,
Uncle Martin Mason;
Three daughters in law; Gloria, Hildreath and Sharon,
Two sons in law; Derrick Lestrad and Mervin Prosper and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.
He is also survived by his extended Family of Rivière Cyrique, San Saveur and Petit Soufriere, his treasured neighbors and friends including Jemma and Peter St Jean, Kathy and Oscar Graham, Excille and Peter Hill, Abin and Tata Matthew, Melanie Prosper, Rhoda Baron, Nora and Lawrence DeGallerie, Cecilia Espirit, MyBoy Prosper, Ellis Bougouneau, Onika Allan, Eiffel Jules, Garnet Beaupierre, the Serrant family of Bath Estate, his caretaker Suzette Laudat, and the communities of GrandFond, Morne Jaune, Boetica, Delices, and his home LaPlaine.
The family thanks everyone who cared for him, and about him. We appreciate the love and support at this time.
Funeral service will be held on Friday July 28th 2023 at 2:30PM at the La Plaine Roman Catholic Church. Interment at the La Plaine Roman Catholic Cemetery.
