With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of our beloved Samuel Godfrey Shillingford, who departed this life at the age of 80 on November 17th, 2024.
Samuel was born in Dominica in the Caribbean and ventured to the United Kingdom in 1966 to build a new life. He dedicated many years to a fulfilling career at Heinz in the UK, where he made lasting friendships and contributions.
A devoted husband to Fortunata for 55 wonderful years, Samuel was the cornerstone of his family. He was a loving father to his sons Irvin and Jason, and a proud grandfather to Carl, Montana and Tatiyana. His love, wisdom, and guidance enriched our lives immeasurably.
We are deeply saddened by his passing and find solace in the countless memories we’ve shared. Samuel’s warmth, kindness, and generous spirit touched all who knew him. He will be profoundly missed and forever cherished in our hearts.
The funeral service will take place at Breakspear Crematorium, Ruislip in the UK, on December 9th. We extend an open invitation to friends and family who wish to join us in celebrating Samuel’s remarkable life via YouTube live streaming of the funeral service.
